A Daft Punk and The Weeknd collab is on the horizon
It’s been over two years since Daft Punk released their highly celebrated album, Random Access Memories, leaving fans yearning for more music and tour dates. As the ellusive duo continue to hide in the shadows, a record executive may have blown their cover by dishing to Billboard a July interview about their studio time with none other than The Weeknd.
Wendy Goldstein, the executive VP and head of Urban A&R at Republic Records, was asked recently who she would most like to work with and this is what she had to say:
“Well actually, we have a session coming up in two days that Ron set up with The Weeknd and Daft Punk. I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan so this is the first time that I’m actually involved with an artist who will work with them.”
And there we have it folks. A global hit is being cooked as we speak! Stay tuned for more.
