Gl0bal Makes Debut With ‘Into The Jungle’ EP on Uprise Music

Let’s start off with a little introduction, tell us where you’re from and when you first started making music.

Hey whats up, I was originally born in England currently living in BC Canada and I started playing around with Ableton about 3-4 years ago. I only started taking it seriously last year so Im calling this my “second year in”  ha

Your quickly growing catalog has spanned across many genres such as Jungle Terror to Trap and even some Hardstyle influences. Which dj/producers would you say have inspired you the most? Imprints?

There are many producers who inspire me I would have to say acts like : Flosstradamus, Afrojack, Chuckie, Diplo, Skrillex, RL grime, Carnage and of course Wiwek definitely inspire me in different ways. Whether its production skills, stage presence, fan base, these are the sort of acts that I vibe off.

How has growing up in Canada shaped your career?

Growing up Canada has been great, but because I live in a small town where the music scene hasn’t been the greatest. This has helped my career by motivating me to create my own music which I know I would enjoy. Its funny because most people always say moving to a big city is the way to go especially if you want to make waves but I find living here allows me to focus more due to weakness of our local music scene if that makes sense? I moved from London England so I know what the city life is like and at times I do miss it but at the same time I do not regret the move.

Which track off your ‘Into The Jungle’ is your favorite and why?

Hmmm my favourite song, thats a tough one every song to me is so different I like all of them haha.

How did all those collaborations on the EP come in to fruition? Did you just reach out online to artists you respect?

How did all those collaborations on the EP come in to fruition? Did you just reach out online to artists you respect? Before I even begun working on the EP, I had a list of artist’s that I wanted to collaborate with. I reached out to Natel, Hawkboy, KG Man and MC Spyder because Ive heard their vocals on many tracks that I play out live and thought they would be great for the project.

Anything else in store for 2016 you’d like to share?

Well I am already over half into my new project which will have new features/ artist’s on it. I can’t wait until its finished to hear what everyone thinks. Until then enjoy “into the jungle”
